If you are using a Proxy server, you can configure the program accordingly in the Network Settings dialog box.
In some network environments, the local network is separated from the rest of the Internet by a firewall. If your network is firewall-protected and blocks the FTP transfers, you can specify the respective firewall parameters to ensure that FTP transfers will be allowed to "pass through" the firewall. For this purpose, you require information on the implemented firewall (host name and/or IP address) from your network administrator.
Proceed as follows to configure proxy settings for FTP and HTTP connections:
From the Connection Type drop-down menu, choose the type of proxy server you are using. Your system administrator can tell you which proxy you are using.
Enter your proxy parameters like user name and password.
